Who Am I?

Researching the Candidates

Chances are you've landed on this page because you're doing your homework on the candidates running for City Council—thank you for taking the time.

You probably have a few questions. I’ve heard many of them, and I’ve tried to answer the most common ones below.

Who Am I?
I'm a life-long resident of West Jordan. I went to West Jordan Elementary, West Jordan Middle, and West Jordan High School. My wife Noni and I are raising our five energetic little boys here, and my siblings still live in the city too. We're proud to call West Jordan home.

Professionally, I work in financial software where I help organizations make sense of their data and build tools that support better decisions.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Finance, an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship, and a PMP certification. My background blends hands-on problem solving with big-picture strategy, and I bring that same practical, results-oriented approach to public service.

Why Am I Running?
I’m running because I care deeply about West Jordan and want to make sure we stay on the right path. This is where I grew up, where Noni and I are raising our family, and where I’ve spent years working alongside neighbors to make our city better.

I believe in practical solutions over politics, in listening before deciding, and in using data and community input to guide my votes. I’ve seen firsthand how good local government can make a difference - whether it’s safer neighborhoods, better roads, or smart growth that doesn’t overwhelm our infrastructure.

During my 12 years on the City Council, I built a reputation for thoughtful leadership and results-driven decision making. I’ve helped shape budgets, advocated for transparency, and worked across differences to get things done.

I’m not in this for a title, and I’m not trying to use the City Council as a stepping stone to higher office - 12 years of service should make that clear. I’m here because I want to keep shaping and serving the community I call home.

What Is My Voting Record?
Historical votes are on the City's website, however the simple yes/no doesn't give you too much context. Additionally it can be difficult to sort out the more mundane topics from the policy decisions that make a difference. I've tried to provide highlights from my voting record, along with my reasoning, which you can see here.

VOTE!
Representative government works best when you reach out to those elected to represent you. Please reach out with any questions you might have, as well as thoughts or suggestions for what you would like to see done to improve your city. And please be sure to vote!
